1010601 Introduction to VLSI Gm-C Circuit TechniquesVLSI active-RC and MOS-C circuit techniques suffer from bandwidth limitation due mainly to the bandwidth limitation of the OPAMPs' circuits since their dominant pole frequencies are required to be much lower than the unity gain frequency to ensure circuit stability. The VLSI Gm-C circuit structures can offer enhanced operation bandwidth due in part to the fact that all internal nodes in the circuits have low impedance. In addition, the bias-dependent nature of the Gm circuit effectively provides the tuning necessary for accurate frequency operation of signal processing circuits based on VLSI Gm-C circuit structures.
