PrefaceThe authors of this book have been associated with uninterruptible and standby power supplies for many years. The origin of the book could be said to go back to the 1980s when the authors became involved in various training lectures for engineers employed within the Property Services Agency (no longer in existence) of the U.K. government.There followed a demand for commercially based lectures aimed at midcareer engineers from which it became apparent that a published book would be helpful to those persons who became involved in high-quality power systems.So it was decided to publish this book, the intention being to prese…
