TOUCH-PANEL DEMONSTRATOR
TOUCH-PANEL DEMONSTRATORA PCAP (projected capacitive) touch sensor is based on the principle of projecting the touch of the finger on a matrix of capacities. The touch is essentially sensed as a change of the corresponding capacitance at a definite point of this matrix. The touch-sensor consists hence of several layers, two of them are each a conductive, transparent material patterned as an array of parallel electrodes, which is rotated in the second plane to 90°, forming the rows and the columns of the sensor matrix.
