ADDITIVE PROCESS PARAMETERSFor all the following experiments, the Dimatix DMP-2800 Materials Printer is used.For each to-be-printed-ink a separate print head, the cartridge, is required. It has 16 nozzles in a row with 254 μm spacing. The nozzle diameter is about 21.5 μm. To make the nozzles jet the ink, the Dimatix printer makes use of the piezoelectric effect: applying a voltage deforms a membrane, so that a drop is jetted out of the nozzle.This voltage can be changed accordingly to the jetting aspect and also to the printing quality.
