Data Types
101060110303001030700Data TypesIn this chapter, we review the basic data types and representations in MSP430. We first consider the binary representation. Then, we explore the fixed- and floating-point representations of binary numbers. We next focus on the word size and overflow issues. The next topic we consider is the endian representation. We also consider the American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) characters and the MSP430 data types. The representations considered in this chapter will be used extensively in the following chapters.
