Scope. This covers a unitized segment of an industrial process and the attendant electrical system that is under highly qualified supervision and maintenance, and for which an orderly shutdown is essential to minimize hazards to personnel and damage to equipment. These issues arise at nuclear facilities and in the chemical process industries.
