Scope.‚ÄÉCentralized distribution systems consist of one or more disc or tape recorders and/or radio receivers, the audio-frequency output of which is distributed to a number of reproducers or loudspeakers.A public-address system includes one or more microphones, an amplifier, and any desired number of reproducers or speakers. A common use of such a system is to render the voice of a speaker clearly audible in all parts of a large assembly room. The article does not cover fire and burglar alarm signaling devices.640.2.
