ARTICLE 460. CAPACITORS460.1. Scope. The sections in this article apply chiefly to capacitors used for the power-factor correction of electric-power installations in industrial plants and for correcting the power factors of individual motors (Fig. 460-1). These provisions apply only to capacitors used for surge protection where such capacitors are not component parts of other apparatus.
