Scope. Previously part of Art. 410 in the 1999 NEC, this article gives a number of requirements for the proper use of receptacles, cord connectors, and attachment plugs.406.3 Receptacle Rating and Type. In part (A), the Code makes a general statement regarding any receptacle that is used.
