TYPES OF CONDUCTORS Chapter 31 of Part 3 of BS 7671 deals with the different types of electrical systems, primarily earthed systems and unearthed systems, with additional breakdowns in the earthed category. This is important for us in that each of these systems have different earthing requirements. However, before we get into the different types of electrical systems, we need to spend a minute discussing the different conductors (wires) that will be used in the various electrical system arrangements.
