SYNCHRO SYSTEMSA synchro system is designed to measure an angular deflection at one point and reproduce this same deflection at a remote point. Synchro systems have been designed to employ both alternating current and direct current for power, but the present trend is to employ 400-Hz alternating current. Synchros are used as position indicators, for remote indications, for autopilots and other remote-control and automated systems.
